Description

Mitutoyo digital vernier caliper for center distance, 10-310 mm, resolution 0.01 mm is the digital equivalent of the vernier center distance caliper (article 64-536105 family) — the same layout and fitting tool for measuring the center-to-center distance between two holes or two pins on the same workpiece, but with an Absolute Digimatic readout. The jaws are pointed to fit into a hole bore (or grip a pin OD) on each side.

The Absolute measuring system retains the absolute zero relative to the scale even when the caliper is switched off. A resolution of 0.01 mm matches the Mitutoyo Digimatic workshop range — the right precision class for layout, jig and fixture, and assembly verification work.

The minimum range is the geometric limit of the pointed geometry. Within the working range, the center distance caliper is the cleanest single-pickup tool for layout work; it eliminates the edge stack-up calculation that composes errors when center distances are derived from outer-edge or inner-edge readings on a standard caliper. The digital readout provides direct input to a Digimatic logger or PC.

Common applications: bolt pattern center distance verification on a flange before drilling, hole center dimensioning on a machined bracket, layout transfer from a master jig to a production fixture, and center distance control during machine assembly.
